Account Information: If you create an account, we collect a unique user ID (UID) provided by Firebase Authentication. We may also collect your name and email address depending on your sign-in method.
User Content: Data relating to your usage of the App, such as items you add to your "Favorites" (stored securely via Firebase Cloud Firestore).
Usage Data & Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated data regarding how you interact with the App (e.g., content viewed, app crashes) to improve user experience.
Device Information: Information such as your device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To provide, maintain, and secure the App's functionality.
To sync and store your saved Favorites across your devices.
To manage your Premium subscription status and unlock features.
To analyze usage trends and improve our daily content (Did You Know, Comebacks, Humour).

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. However, we use trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you to facilitate app functionality:

Firebase / Google Analytics: Used for backend database storage (Firestore), authentication, and tracking app performance and crashes.
Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Used to securely process Premium subscription payments. We do not collect or store your credit card details.

4. Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All data synced to the cloud is transmitted securely. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data (including your Favorites) at any time. This can be done directly within the App settings or by contacting our support team.

6. Children's Privacy

PlantFolk does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy.
